    Do switch 2 cartridges even store the full game? atp they’re more of a symbolic gesture than a copy of a title

      First party games do, with the lone exception of Pokopia. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, the game they’re announcing this new pricing difference for, is a proper cartridge.

        Pokopia isn’t first party. It’s made by Bamco, same team as Dragon Quest Builders. All of Pokémon games are second party at best.

      Technically they have with cart ID checks online, if you go online. If someone used a MIG to rip a cart, then sold the cart, and now 2 copies show the same ID key both accounts can get banned.

          Realistically not happening. The sad part is when Nintenderp starts caring, they START caring and hella secure their shit. Sony started the trend, but kinda eased off since they make plenty of other products besides PayStation, but big N only offers one crappy product.
