    But okay, lets say you are right. Lets say there are situations where people’s disabilities and economic class make it impossible to avoid all animal products.

    Veganism demands avoiding the exploitation of animals “as far as is practical and practicable”. If you require an animal product for your health and you economize it as much as you can, that’s still vegan. If you find yourself starving in a food desert and there is nothing without milk or lard in it, making mindful choices to minimize the harm you are doing is still vegan. Being poor, disabled, or inconveniently located is not a license to just consume mindlessly without concern for the consequences your actions have. It isn’t an excuse to not even think about the cruelty and violence you commit.
