I got the reddit block about a week ago, so I’ve given this place another try (first tried it after the reddit API fiasco). I would like lemmy if it were more active. I mostly used reddit for news headlines, and I haven’t found any communities here that are nearly as quick for breaking news and whatnot. I feel like my head has been buried in the ground since leaving Reddit. Still not going back though.

Good luck! No huge loss if it doesn’t work though, at least in my opinion. I like it for finding and installing software, and bulk upgrading everything at once, and the ability to do it all remotely with relative ease. But it’s not as powerful in terms of dependency management and whatnot, coming from POSIX package managers

I like Qt.

I do miss homebrew now that I’m working on a Windows laptop.
