Absolutely! Currently trying to help my kids to understand how much of a life-changer this is.

Having a finish line to look forward to is a big thing for me. If I feel like I’m right at the end of my list of things to do before I can exit responsibility mode, and another task lands in my lap, I feel so defeated.
Dropping stuff or knocking stuff over is a trigger for me too. I don’t really know if it’s just a case "Oh great, I already had more things to do than I can handle, and here’s one more thing. " or if there’s some kind of trauma origin story that I just don’t remember. Maybe a bit of both.

4·3 months agoIt makes more sense from the Gnostic mythological perspective. When you frame the Old Testament God as a Trump-type character who ignorantly claims to be all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful, and the only God, because he really doesn’t know any better, then the behavior you see in the Old Testament kind of tracks.

2·3 months agoI want to switch to void so bad. It’s just that my machine is a laptop that I carry around with me all the time. I don’t feel safe doing that without encrypting it, and all I’ve gotten out of attempting to manually configure LUKS is hours of wasted time.
edit: typos. Stupid phone keyboard.

Just wanted to let you know how appreciated you are. Yours is the only username I recognize honestly, and I know it’s going to be good shit when I see it.
I understand burnout though. Can’t fault you for wanting to care of yourself. I encourage it, actually.
