“Junkie” is pretty much understood to be a narcotic/heroin user, not hallucinogenics. Regardless, decades of prohibition policies have proven your opinion isn’t a valid both-sides argument, but patently incorrect. This is supported by many professional opinions from medical doctors, psychologists, sociologists, economists, etc. looking at the impacts of strict criminal penalties for drug use to both the individual and their communities.

21·16 days agoI worked most positions in the industry over seven years. I’m not concerned about how I tip and I can also think it is a dog shit system.
When you agree saying “sure it is, nobody is arguing that,” but you started with “what really is the functional difference here? …is it just hatred of math?” That’s dissonant.

91·17 days agoIf you’re a prick for not tipping and it’s a discount rather than a bonus, then it’s absolutely an issue of the employer exploiting labor.
State sales tax would ideally be factored into the listed price, but regardless, it’s mandatory and baked into the bill. I don’t need to play games deciding if, when and how much to add on, which tipping requests have become.
Dine in? Sure, 20%. Get one beer from the bar? A burrito for take out?
You’re calling people selfish when there was no mention of not tipping, just that it’s a problematic system.

In god’s universe it is winter and that’s why the earth is heating up. It says so right in Ecclesiasties. Boom, toasted climate change nerds.
The crux of my original post was that non-natives are often not invasive and are a good choice in a landscape. Because of disturbances, our built worlds aren’t even native environments leading to some natives species spreading invasively.
More colloquially aggressive natives, but certain species of goldenrod, milkweed, locust…can be invasive if not planted in an appropriate place and among other strong competition.
Well, many non-natives are not invasive and some natives are invasive. Right plant, right place.
