That sounds perfect - what model is it?
I use Debian GNOME and Wayland is the default now, with GNOME on Xorg as an optional session in the login manager.

Linux@lemmy.ml•How do you restore ghosted window when going from dual monitor/laptop setup back to laptop?
1·1 month agoNot sure if I’ve had exactly this but I usually open the lid to turn my laptop display back on, pull out the USB-c dock and then open and close the overview with the super key.
I usually have ‘mirrored’ selected as the multi-display option in my settings FWIW.
Farming would have been a nightmare, but being a pirate would have been ace.
No it doesn’t - in fact A4 would make it more versatile
I continue to be astonished at how much data people are getting through.
Am I technogrouch for continuing to watch video at no more than 1080p?
Check out Starlabs - their laptops have Intel processors but use Coreboot as the BIOS with the intel management engine disabled. They’re good with spares and are designed to run Linux. I have one and it runs Debian 13 flawlessly.

I too would like to know this

I think a bit part of it is that it’s simply become harder to live with ADHD and for it to stay under the radar in your life. Rare is the person who can survive in the modern world purely on their wits. It demands that you persevere at jobs, careers and relationships over long timespans, and against an onslaught of things which have been relentlessly developed and refined over generations with the express purpose of hijacking your dopamine system and interfering with your free will.
I’ve often had this when I’m hungover. Just pottering about and chipping away at something like a normal person. So productive…
I’m not aware of anything currently that both federates and serves as an online store for downloads, although I think this could be cobbled together using WordPress.
Faircamp is good for building a FOSS music site with streaming and downloads though and you can just share a link to your release/s by hand from a fediverse account.

Linux@lemmy.ml•GNU Guix transactional package manager and distribution — GNU Guix
0·7 months agoI’ve been curious about Guix for a long time and did have a go at installing it as a distro on my new laptop (it didn’t work). Still aspiring to hop to it one day. I think I’ll try using it as a package manager on Debian until then.

Everything that I’ve tested. The wireless card is physically broken, so I haven’t been able to test that, but I had it running with FOSS drivers on Debian so I think it should be fine. From memory it was and Atheros chip from Aliexpress.
