3 years agoI think the people who say this and think Rust is the second coming of Jesus, just don’t code. You choose the right language that’s needed for the job. Server stuff like this is Java’s bread and butter. As amazing as Rust is, it has proven to not be a great choice for Lemmy’s development.
It’s not damage control lol, this isn’t PR. It’s them being professional. Why the hell would they spew a bunch of drama? That’s just being an adult, it’s nobody’s business and they’re right to not speak on this guy’s behalf or encourage internet randos to speculate and involve themselves.
