I have 3 library cards and I use them as frequently as I can. I’ve been building my video collection by borrowing blu-rays and ripping them to my pc. I have all of Star Trek Lower Decks and working on getting The X-Files.

I also walk the stacks to grab random books off the shelf. Sometimes I’ll flip through them, sometimes they will just sit at home before I return them a week or two later. Either way, the use numbers for library books go up and that’s a good thing!

The events are great, lots of art and music access. And one branch has a gardening swap meet to take in extra gardening scraps like cuttings, and extra fruits and veggies. I dropped off a bunch of extra spider plant babies and walked away with some new succulents like my new agave plant 🥰

Yup! The beer I learned how to drink beer with is no longer one I want drink. Bunch of Trumper dorks. I was so sad when I found this out because I did a tour of the brewery, had a hat, and some anniversary coasters. A lot of cool history with that beer. Now they all sit in a box. I don’t live where it’s sold easily and I don’t drink it when I go back to visit.

I stick to homemade cocktails now

I agree with most of what you’ve been saying, but I’m going to gently push back on the Mustang EV. I think it’s one of the best looking EVs out there and it would be the one that I would choose (or the Subie EV because I love my Crosstrek). I do agree that it probably should not have been called a Mustang though because it doesn’t really look like one and there’s a whole culture thing behind the Mustang.

I would be thrilled if there was a manual shift EV. I know it doesn’t make sense and I don’t care if it doesn’t really do what combustion engines do, but I loved driving stick. I was sad to give up my old stick, but I went for the car with much higher safety ratings. It doesn’t even have to be real, just give me that feeling of driving manual would be great. And with a proper stick shifter too, not the silly paddle shifters.

That guy is one of the best example of toxic masculinity I’ve seen on lemmy. He’s swallowed the manosphere BS whole hog. It only takes a few minutes looking through his profile to understand why he’s single in his 40s.

Hi! Woman here and that guy is correct. Tracking your cycle on paper is far safer than any app ever could be. These apps are not safe for your personal data.

I’ve been tracking in my paper planner for the last few years and I haven’t had to worry about any of these apps or companies getting my data. I track PMS symptoms, start and end times, amount of flow, and more. I can take my planner to the doctor to discuss any issues that may come up.

Calendars, bullet journals, and graph paper are the best ways to track periods.

It’s better to stop using apps to track your period at all.

The only game I have played enough to rack up a lot of hours is World of Warcraft. I started a few months after launch (after seriously trash talking it and preferring EQ2) and I still play off and on. I really dig the old history stuff in the books like The War of the Ancients trilogy and Lord of the Clans. I don’t really raid or join groups for stuff, I’m a “filthy casual” that chases pets, transmogs, mounts, achievements, and that sort of thing. I play one of the worlds largest MMORPGs in solo mode lol

After that, maybe The Witcher Adventure game on Steam because it’s fun. Or Halo Reach back in the day when I played firefight doubles with a buddy of mine.
