Excellent game! So satisfying when you get a run that totally breaks everything! And it just got a true online coop mod! Previously you could play with one Fight and up to three players could be Orbs.

Only reason I know is because I’ve been collecting since I was a kid. I’ve got three loose copies, shame they’re not worth anything… I’d be happy to separate some stupid people from their money.

Going to point out that actual boxed copies of just Super Mario Bros. Is actually on the more rare side, since it was quickly bundled with the NES and the version with Duck Hunt came out pretty quickly.

It may have sold 30 million copies, but a large majority of them are either the Duck Hunt combo or the one with Duck Hunt and World Class Track Meet. Kinda the same way Stadium Events is that much more rare because of the bundled, renamed version.

That being said, people have too much fucking money…

The La-Mulana series. They’re side scrolling metroidvanias that absolutely hate you. Getting hit is frequently fatal. Finding secrets aren’t just for fun, they’re a requirement. Puzzles range from pretty easy to “What in the actual fuck? How do I get there?” Hints are puzzles on their own. To top it all off, the lore is amazing and very well planned out. You’re basically setting out with nothing but a whip on a quest to look for your father and, in the process, you find god…

I’ve managed to beat both a few times and can say, they are, by far, two of the most difficult and well constructed games I’ve ever played.

I’ll give you that, and the swastika and manji came to mind. I’d originally included in my post the suggestion about going and putting up swastikas and was like, “wait… That’s still a thing.”

I get that it’s a Norse rune and I recognize the history and heritage in the same way, but in that case maybe just one ᛋ would have sufficed. However, considering someone thought enough to say, “Hey, this is going to be problem in Germany.” it would have hurt literally no one to just say, “maybe we just shouldn’t do it at all.” Deleted. Literally no controversy.

No, that’s not how it works.

Things get ruined and they take on new meanings, that includes words and symbols. You don’t just get to decide that you’re going to take back the symbol of some of the worst evil mankind has known just because it had another meaning before that and then expect everyone to be like, “Oh, alright…” It has a new meaning now. One that everyone recognizes… A meaning that it is blatantly apparent they were aware of beforehand and decided to use anyway.

Anyone buying that bullshit excuse is an idiot.

Been playing since it came out, and it’s been amazing to see it go from 2D Minecraft to such a massive experience. Now I’m going to to have to update some mods and play again…

I remember grabbing whole collections of NES games at yard sales for like $10-20. It’s wild how much people would just let stuff go for. And the general consensus was always that they didn’t know what they were worth. Like… You dropped $60 on one of these games, and now I’m buying them off you for $2 a piece? I’m just gonna hand you the money, try not to look excited, and walk away like this was a smooth drug deal…

Trackable? Terraria at just over 1,350 hours plus another 147 in tmodloader since it moved to steam 7 Days to Die at 711 Binding of Isaac at 572

Untrackable? Probably Breath of Fire 2, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, or maybe Secret of Mana I play a randomizer of one of them almost every night before I go to bed or when I’m bored.

My best guess would be that they’re trying to get ahead of the recompiler scene before it catches a bigger foothold. But also, that lumps in the entire rom hacking and fan translation community, which I’m sure they view as perpetuating the piracy of their games.
