It would require either every app developer on F-Droid to comply as well, or for F-Droid to implement google play style app signing, both of which ive seen F-Droid maintainers being against.

with the caveat being F-Droid would have to comply with the new developer verification system

none of these say anything about moving due to privacy concerns and I feel like thats a huge market here.

GOS won’t come to the older ones due to the lack of a Titan-like security chip, but itd be nice to see either a newer RAZR with support, or the old one just getting Lineage or something.

I’d love to have one, but unfortunately none of them support custom Roms AFAIK.

Yeah a lot of the performance problems (in my own experience) come from all the proprietary bloatware bullshit they install by default. As soon as a custom ROM is loaded the experience gets a lot better IMO.

Not trying to be funny but have you considered an alternative OS like Graphene or Lineage? I’m still on a pixel 7 running CalyxOS (not available for Pixel 10 quite yet) and it runs just as fine as a new phone.

you’re implying every vehicle produced today isnt a spy vehicle, which is just plainly incorrect.
By 2030, new US cars will have AI detect if youre drunk, and if it think youre drunk (or simply fails) you will be without a car. Congrats.

Confused as ive seen tons of the Kei trucks on US roads with plates

in addition to all of that theyre reporting GrapheneOS users to feds for using GrapheneOS https://thecybersecguru.com/news/yoti-grapheneos-sony-playstation-age-verification/

So I find thr argument a bit classist.
yarrrr 🏴☠️
is that… cirno?..

Guys we need to close AOSP for security
the security in question:
And here’s a vulnerability thats unpatched on Android 9 which can be taken advantage of by literally any app. It even works in some older Android web browsers.
You want to skip planned obsolescence? Install Lineage, Iode, or /e/. They all still receive updates for devices that have not been officially supported for years.
The device is clearly connected to the internet. They are going outside. Stupid analogy.
You should really install another OS or get a new phone. Your current OS (Android 9) has been out of support for 4 years now.

op didnt say they wanted a NASA computer. they’re asking what’s so special about the tensor compared to any other mobile chipset if it doesnt do anything special.
The only thing ive seen that sets it apart is A: The Titan security chip
and B: the shittier cell antennas compared to Qualcomm
I’m in a Matrix room with a couple of F-Droid team members and that is where i’ve gotten the information. I am unsure if it is easily found info. You might be able to ask on the forums if you want to fully fact check my statement.
