As we inch ever closer to photo realism in games, I am more drawn to the earlier days of 3D where half the games looked like tech demos that ended up working well enough to become a game.

I’m aware that you can build and even buy a better machine for cheaper. This has always been the case, even now to a degree. Probably why I’m on my third self-built system, but I digress.
That said, if you already have an Xbox or Playstation, then the Steam Machine works right out of the box. You plug it in to your TV and you have a controller.
Compared to this where you will need, at least, a mouse and keyboard. Then potentially monitors and speakers or a headset, whatever you want to do.
I’m still trying to convince my console-only friends to get a Steam Machine because, to me at least, it is the simplest way to get them to play PC games with me which has been my goal forever.

Yes, if it was a Kia then it’d be great (at 1/8th the price, maximum).
Idk, Dyson Sphere Program maybe. Been playing the shit out of Satisfactory recently.

I live in a city and it sucks and I cannot wait to get back to the burbs. I don’t live in downtown, so it is not walkable, despite it being a dense area. So I pay more, own less, and do less than if I was back in the burbs. I have no idea why anyone over the age of 25 wants to live in a city. I cannot fathom being an elderly person living in a city. How do you put up with that? I absolutely cannot stand it. I’m glad I tried it, because now I know for sure how much I despise it. I’m not even 30 yet.

Sure, it’s a huge jump. But it’s also a mostly lateral jump if you already have a PS5 or Xbox. That’s why I specifically state that this is for people who have a console but no PC. Software availability semantics aside, BeamNG coming to PS5 makes my desire to have one of these in the living room close to zero now. Unless it can run Cities Skylines 2.

I have friends who only have consoles. This is who I think should be looking at this. People like me who wanted a second PC for the living room may pass on this because of the price, though. I don’t need a second PC that bad. But for my people with no PC, no monitors, no keyboards, this is pretty decent. Not to mention the it’s an alright deal when pricing out a build yourself.

Might explain why, for like a decade now, my computer will never stay asleep or in hibernation or whatever the hell. Always just wakes up by itself. Luckily SSDs are so fast that I just turn the thing off when I’m not using it now, but it’s still annoying.

Both are shit anyway, which we all know here. But normies love their Chrome.

I was about to say he wasn’t even that old. But 81, damn. I love his stories on Doom. He had never really done any metal before which is why so many of the tracks are similar to real songs. Also Into Sandy’s City being done with piano until he set it to a harpsichord as a joke and bam, instantly iconic. Like most of his work at the time, really. RIP to one of the guys that gave me the music taste I have today.

Yeah, this is just more horseshit like all of that Wata nonsense was a few years ago. All garbage like this does is damage the hobby for us normal people.

Was it the founder of Wata selling to another founder of Wata who is buying the game as a group purchase with the other founding members of Wata - again?

Raft is kind of like this. You’re basically told nothing and you’re out at sea on a raft that you can then build with stuff you find.
It was not for me, but almost entirely for the reasons you want a game like this, from what I’m reading.

Meanwhile fans of the series have been tuned in to E Day for like 2 years.

Seems to me the only fixing they’re doing is fixing the prices lower than other clients.
Rather than what you usually hear with price fixing, where prices go up. Like Amazon with Levi jeans.

Do you have air conditioning? I’m starting to wonder if that’s related to insulation. Or maybe it’s just older. Then again, 120 year old American houses have plaster walls which will also not stop a bullet. Buuuuut European buildings are much older. Or, can be. Probably just built better too.

I guarantee that whatever gun did this could probably go through most internal building walls in European homes too. It’s a gun, not a nerf dart.
Of course, unless it came in from outside the building. In which case, brick would probably stop it, yeah. I’d probably know if I read the article, but, ya know how it goes.
But yes on that first part.
*Guys, I get it. I appreciate you all measuring your walls for me, but I get it. We can stop now.

Only thing is gullible boomers are way less likely to buy a gift card online. Because they won’t be able to figure it out.

Oh, no wonder I haven’t been suspended again recently.
Believe me, I’ve tried. They do not care. People who have only used consoles their whole lives will not deal. I’ve tried with different people forever. Even the people I’ve convinced to want one still won’t get one. They’d probably get this. Maybe not for a grand, though.
