  • Even all grain brew in a bag can be incredibly simple. Carbonation can be as easy as dropping a tab into a bottle.

But if you want to go even simpler, you can go extract brewing. Open can and pour into water. Heat and pitch yeast.

You’re heating water and adding measured ingredients into it. Fermentation is a wonderful endless rabbit hole but yeasts are so good now that it’s also something that you don’t need overthink.

  • Dubstep is just as much a recycled genre/subgenre as anything else?

If you’re after something new to your ears it really shouldn’t fit neatly into any genre, right?

Listen to OPN’s R Plus Seven. Electronic in its production, yes. But it’s got a ton of orchestral structure/texture to it…on top of chopped vocal samples.

Or how about some Floating Points? Again, electronic for sure. But there’s definitely a fluency in the conversation between electronic dance and jazz that wasn’t there a few decades ago.

    Murlo

Photay. Seriously who was doing lush layered multi instrument compositions like this over electronic music pre-2000 not named Bjork?

All leap from genre to genre effortlessly enough while also having a ton of electronics sensibilities. Maybe it’s recycling genres, but I think in some instances mastery in disparate areas leads to a greater sum than the parts.

  • A lot of that is the insane lethality and size of the front in this war. If someone is on the front, it’s 50km before you can begin to start feeling safe from drones. Are you going to amplify attrition on rescue missions that have a high chance of failure?

Some of the problem is that there’s been heavy incentives on destroying enemy equipment. An attacking drone unit has their eyes on what keeps their unit running and likely isn’t coordinating too heavily with a defense unit that’s been in a hole for months.

If they can gamify the recording of strikes for supplies, they could also put an increasing bounty on supplying units via drop the longer they’ve been without. The reinforcement/evac of troops in these positions is a tough nut to crack.
