I use debian to game on a rather recent AMD desktop PC. It just works.

For using my gpu to the max, I installed the AMD rock stuff, I think that’s some kind of gpu driver stuff. Helps me get most out of the gpu but it works just fine for games without that too. Steam games just work with proton or native, native games just work.

I even timed it well, last October when I thought memory was super expensive and didn’t know how bad it would get, and with the new gpu architecture.

Debian just works. Debian is good.

Except all the extra stuff like CI, issues, pull requests, discussions, pages, and probably some more things.

Forgejo has options to import some of that too, but it’s not that easy. A modern repository isn’t just files in git.

I think the worst risk with this would be data leaks from that government database.

Not enough people seed or distribute music. The only good way I know is downloading from YouTube, but YouTube is working hard on blocking this too.

Im pretty sure that is possible on forgejo if given a specific github token. Or is it a scale problem?
