Yeah, I’ve played most of the Mario games but when I think of which one comes to mind as the most fun, it’s definitely Odyssey. Just a joy throughout.

Honourable mentions: Super Mario Bros 3, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Shovel Knight, Nier Automata, Persona 4

Somehow I seem to have avoided a lot of talk on GTA 6. No doubt there are countless discussions online and youtube analysis videos etc, but unless you’re actively searching for these I’ve found it pretty easy to avoid?
Am I just good at ignoring stuff? Where are people visiting that they’re getting overwhelmed with GTA content?
Aw their little faces! I love them

I adored Red Faction: Guerrilla! I just loved the world, the destruction, and even the multiplayer was great fun. It’s an excellent sandbox.

Whoa this looks great! Downloading the demo later for sure

Oh neat! I like all the little details in GTA IV like being able to ride the subway - and I imagine a ferry system would have done something similar, but to ‘Happiness Island’? Like the subway, I probably would’ve tried it once but just stolen a boat/helicopter to get there in future.
I remember the game really blowing my mind when I first played it, mostly in the sense of just how alive the world was. The only other games that have done so (blown my mind in the same way) would probably be Skyrim and Baldur’s Gate 3, which felt so ahead of their time.
Good memories of just driving around Liberty City, messing with the physics system (usually getting pedestrians arrested by pushing them over and waiting for them to retaliate in front of the cops lol)

I only put my dog’s collar on when we go on a walk. I figure she’s more comfortable indoors without one :)
I feel like it affected collectors more than anything. Whenever I bought a game it was waaay easier to get a hold of PAL copies (my region) than any others. So I don’t remember it ever being an issue
