Oooh and it’s a double edged sword because people assume that your cheery mask voice is your default, so when it slips because you’re tired, they assume that must mean something is really wrong because you are normally all cheery.

It’s about the journey, not the destination, and the journey has plenty of twists and turns. You may know the start, you may know the end, I promise you do not know how you get there.
Is the Lord of the Rings bad because you know they’re going to destroy the ring in Mount Doom and defeat Sauron by the end?
I won’t say it’s absolutely the game for everyone, but I really don’t think you’d be as disappointed as you’re expecting. Personally, I was VERY invested in the characters by the end.
Have you played Sea of Stars? Absolutely, drop dead GORGEOUS pixel game with phenomenal music. Its not the hardest game, but it is a true love letter to old school JRPGs. One of those games that sticks with you long after you’ve beaten it.
It’s on Game Pass if you have it, otherwise you can grab it on Steam. It’s worth every penny.
I mean, there is a somewhat hd version available on steam that came recently. Still has the polygons of the original, but looks WAY better; much more clean. Not sure if that’s what you’re looking for, but I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit.

30·19 days agoSure, if you weren’t competing with every other vape out there that has things like variable voltage settings (at least 3), a pre-heat feature, the ability to turn on/off with 5 presses, or to turn off automatically after 5-10 minutes without use, a low battery indicator, a charging indicator, a broken coil indicator…
Hmm, seems like you need a lot more than a battery, heating coil, button, and single transistor.

World News@lemmy.world•China celebrity dog stolen, sold for US$25 and eatenEnglish
2·20 days agoI don’t suggest that the methheads selling their food stamps via buying food and selling it to strangers for half price suggest a food shortage in the US.
I mean you should suggest that, because thats exactly what it is. People can’t afford food, so they are seeking out lower cost alternatives. It is a sign of a food crisis. Just like people kidnapping pets to sell for food is a sign of a food crisis.

World News@lemmy.world•China celebrity dog stolen, sold for US$25 and eatenEnglish
2·20 days agoDoesn’t mean the food is reaching more rural areas, like where this dog was butchered. If an area is seeing pets being kidnapped to use as meat, that is not a good sign of food stability.

World News@lemmy.world•China celebrity dog stolen, sold for US$25 and eatenEnglish
46·20 days agoMakes me wonder if there is some kind of food shortage we’re not hearing about. Eating dogs is one thing, but the stealing of pets to use as meat sounds like a form of desperation.
I want to get back into it, but isn’t it end of life? Wasn’t the last expansion the final one?

Its such a weird thing to watch from a PC gamer perspective. The game won’t release on PC for another year or longer after consoles. I’m really not feeling like I’m missing out or anything, if anything it’s like I’m standing back and watching a potential train wreck from afar.
Rockstar has been hyping this game up like it’s the next coming of Christ and there’s just no way it lives up to that much hype. People complaining about the lack of physical media, or the confusion surrounding paid DLC. I’ll just sit back and watch what happens. If it releases flawlessly with zero issues, then I’ll look forward to the PC release. If it crashes and burns, well they have a year to fix it and to convince me it’s worth it.
