After Andy Yen’s endorsement of the orange utan, I would seriously reconsider using any Proton product.

Yen tried to backpedal meekly several times since then, to get out of the pickle he got himself into with his definitely-not-impressed customers, but it’s a bit late for that: either he’s pro-Trump or he’s naive. Either way, he makes Proton sketchy.

Apparently it depends on your priorities.

If privacy, right of ownership and right to repair matter to you, then Bambu Lab printers ain’t for you. But besides that, I hear good things about those printers.

My work machine isn’t too unusual, apart that it has 52 USB devices connected. And here’s something you may not know: Linux can’t enumerate more than 16 USB ports if the root is configured as USB3, so I had to force all the ports to run in USB2 mode - which is fine in this case, since most of them are serial ports.

Good luck if you want to escape CloudFlare: it sits between you and half of the internet even if you don’t see it. This scary company is almost scarier than Google because it operates mostly in the background and out of sight, but it’s just as invasive.

You only get your pants in a knot in this case because you see them. But if you truly want to escape CloudFlare, you should stop being online altogether.
