I got burned out developing business software and lost my job after 13 years. I’m lucky if my previous game makes $100 in a year at this point. So now I’m wondering at what point I’ll need to give up on my dream of being a full time indie game dev and start looking for a new job.

Oh I forgot about that one. Yeah that’s worth playing too. It’s been so long since I played that. I think I should play it again soon.

They’re alright.

• Your Spider - I gotta mention this one again because it deserves far more attention than it got.
• 10 Dead Doves - One of the few games that made me want to play through a second time. Interesting story, some funny moments, emotional moments, good voice acting. I highly recommend this one.
• The Eternal Castle (remastered) - It’s a remake of a game from 1987, but the animation is great and the visual style is really cool.
• The Upturned - A cartoony horror-comedy game with a great sense of humor.
• Withering Rooms - The story is interesting and the atmosphere is great.
• Exanima - Read about the features. This one is more impressive than the screenshots make it look (at least for me).
• Praey for the Gods - This one is for anyone who’s looking for more games like Shadow of the Collossus.

I only have the numbers for games from Steam, so my actual longest played game is probably the old version of Dwarf Fortress. I also typically don’t have the attention span to keep playing a single game for hundreds of hours so the longest I see in my Steam library is just under 200 hours. Aether Way would actually be higher in the list because I played an earlier version of it before it came to Steam.

The Looker was a funny parody of The Witness. Made me laugh.
