It’ll be nice to see if Commodore can work better now, disconnected from Tramiel.

I could see myself using this as a daily driver.

No, no. $299 vs. $599 is PS1 vs. 3DO. Commodore wasn’t part of that meme.

Okay, but I’d say with the goblet, it’s got purely artistic value because someone made it by hand and might be unique. Cartridges are machine made and the box artwork is mass-produced.

Utterly ridiculous. That’s a copy of a game that will never get played. It’s utterly useless and ridiculous.
Then again, the important part of that cartridge has been perfectly emulated for a while. The only value of it has been rereleased on SNES, GBC, GBA, 3DS, and Switch.
Genuinely, why would anyone want this? Why wouldn’t you want the cartridge with Duck Hunt, too? Or All-Stars (with SMW if possible)? Or thr handheld versions?

I don’t pretend to be reasonable. I’m an American. For 250 years, America has been a nation built on external violence for resources. There’s only been a dozen years of peace in the nation’s history, and only one or maybe two of the conflicts we were party to were outside our control. The Monroe doctrine built this country into a better place to live, where resources were always available for a price. This is just another step along that road. “War is a Racket” is absolutely correct - but like all successful rackets that maneuver the law in their favor, it’s incredibly profitable. A resource that we want exists and it is not under our control. Standard American foreign policy is to first offer to buy it, then threaten to take it, and then to take it by force.
It’s not reasonable. But it’s what defines this country.

So you’re in South Jersey but you’re on the north end of it. Which is it - Pork Roll or Taylor Ham?

No kidding. Route 3 is going to be madness. I feel a great swell of pity for the poor folks living in East Rutherford, Lyndhurst, Moonachie, and Secaucus.

Hurrah! Let’s keep pushing those numbers down for all games in the USA. Maybe even reschedule the final away from the Meadowlands.

To the USA, it is not a war. To Iran, it is a war. We’re not at war with them but they’re at war with us. If Iran was hosting the World Cup, we might send people there even though they’re a rival nation. If they say it’s a war, why should they send their people to us?
And, you’re absolutely right. We shouldn’t have all these people flooding in, slamming our underfunded infrastructure, and causing a situation where ICE is likely to pull some BS.

They shouldn’t play sports with in our nation since they’re at war with us. If they were only playing games in Canada or Mexico, that would be a different situation.

Cool. I’ll keep emulating.

You’re being very optimistic that it’ll be resolved so quickly.

Always have been.

Pissing off Elsevier and being political? They must be tenured.

Well, they can go rub someone else’s rhubarb then.

I don’t want it here either. Don’t come to Meadowlands Stadium. It would send a clear message if the final game (and any others held there) has zero attendance and zero viewers.
We’re already jammed on weekends. Don’t come to NJ. Don’t attend the games.

The nation with a three-century history of military action whenever we need a resource or our corporate overlords demand a better profit margin.
That just sounds like you’re trying to build an ecosystem.
