What doesn’t at this point? All repos on github contaminated at this point. In couple of years border between code created by humans and code created by llm’s will be basically non existent.
The end is near. git clone until it’s too late!

Nothing is stable in this world nowadays.

Yeah, recent update completely borked game on both linux and windows. Devs released a patch soon after that added “comparability mode for linux peasants”, but I saw suggestion for windows users to also use it, cause it solves same issue.
New class? What’s that?
Gonna create another character to level up nothing but necromancer&arcanist with spending all points to calidor’s tempest skill.

For some reason when I use sddm shutdown sometimes just doesn’t work. Using GDM makes display doesn’t work (weird hdmi quirk with bitdepth). So instead I login via TTY and start my session manually. At least then I can shutdown my system. Usually.

I’ve been told that using linux similar to abusive relationships.
I wouldn’t know — I never had relationships.

Actually, I think dualshock works, it’s dualsence that have issues. Also, it works okay (I tested) in CachyOS, so whatever settings they made to udev rules or whatever — fixed it. Or they may just used old version of bluez, which is also a workaround, but you need to install insecure and 2 years old version at this point.
Also-also, it works fine via USB.

Oh, we doing “what doesn’t work for you” comment section? Count me in!
My LG TV consistently broken on multiple amd devices on linux. Something to do with how LG implemented HDMI protocol and how AMDGPU driver percepts it. I think it have something to do with color bit depth, cause all DEs allow to set 16 bit color (which is insane, not supported by any software nor my hardware and shouldn’t be a allowed as option without some special flags in my opinion) but like, there no protection and some DE/WM even defaults to max available bit depth, which in turn straight up doesn’t work and result in black screen.
Windows or nvidia — those work fine.
Another pain in the ass for me — connecting dualsense controller via bluetooth. It connects, then just disconnects. There a workaround that includes fetching it’s ID via terminal, then using commands to connect and entrust that device. After that it connects fine. Until you need to reconnect it, that is, cause it stops being recognized. Apparently that was fixed like, a year ago. Yeah, right.
Another pain for me would be steam client on wayland, but Valve finally started working in that direction so I will hold my complains for now.

Also Fedora is not corporate, it is developed by the Fedora Foundation. Red Hat is only a member of it.
Yes and windows not developed by Microsoft, it just part of it.
I’m not fighting with you here, you welcome do downvote and politely fuck off. My point was made - linux distros made by all sorts of weirdos and mostly doesn’t work. The one that do work - usually either belong to corporation or effort of some paid labor (even arch for example, cause it being founded after all). If you don’t like the truth that all open software suck - I don’t know what to tell you.

You currently just proving my point: Fedora is a corp managed distro.

Yes, 95C max for desktop CPU, 105C for notebook APU, became a default like, 20 years ago or so

From gamer nexus testings, it looks like there enough of headroom to operate below any throtling threshold. Fan basically silent even at full load. So I assume yes, most probably somewhat default 95C peak and somewhat tweaked power settings.

That being said, I’m not against fediverse in general, I’m just frustrated as same as OP, with instance admins who decided to shoot themselves in the foot.

My point was exactly as it reads: none of distros works, I say that as someone who uses linux for 15 years now, plus someone who contributed to open source projects and linux kernel (alto, not directly, it was just some conf file for touchscreen on old tablet). The few exceptions of linux distros that work well overall — are corporate managed, like Fedora. To be fair to linux, none of the other OS’es also work in my opinion, all of the IT constantly in a broken state, but maybe I’m just like this cause my job is a tech support.
So yeah, my point reads like “random people that create instances on a whim, cause they were frustrated with rules of other instances (similar to how linux distros often created) — not a good solution of a problem”.

What part of this is “troll”?

I migrated 3 times this month. From world to blahaj (that one missing downvotes) to piefied.
I’m kinda done with this “fediverse” thing to be honest. It’s cool and all that you can “just create own instance if you don’t like it”, but that like linux — we have shit load of distros and none of them work.
Gedit for docs (plain and simple + have basic spelling/code highlighting), kate for weird things like JSON (have actual tools to fix spacing/tabulation)
