33·7 days agoI dont think the average lemmy user would want a bigger platform in general. They like the atmosphere as it is now and think of bullying people as their right.
More normies woudl chill the overall vibe but you’ll start to see the rose tinters and what ever. Who knows what lemmy would morph into. Im sure capitalism will take its toll, even if its not integrated into the platform.
I think we assume cruelty, or stupidity, until proven otherwise but hey maybe im fucked.

3·3 months agoSci-fi mess up not warning how every damn person would be falling over themselves to be mass surveilled and manipulated.
And defiant children/devious adults will find a work around. The cycle continues.
Quit spiritually attacking them.
So you have no idea how time travel would work but youre certain that traveling through time will be simple heliocentric math and radio waves can be used as a beacon?
