I had a Synology DS412+ using their glacier interface to backup offsite. Pictures, personal dvd/bluray collections and music collections. Moved internationally and the NAS/hard drives didn’t fit into our weight/damage potential allowance. So we opted for the nuclear option of keeping it all on ice and paying through the nose to get it all back locally later.

Looking at one of the UGREEN boxes and some sort of port of the synology os/apps to pull it back down. Worst case scenario, I grab a new synology box and pay their hardware premium to recover things. The hope is to move away from both Synology and Amazon as much as possible.

Nothing is set in stone though, it’s a project for later once the savings is replenished and we have some more discretionary funds.

Amazon Glacier at like US$23/month for around 10 TB. It’s going to be a nightmare expense to pull it all back out though, especially after building a new NAS at these current prices.

I’ve struggled to get into the first Alan Wake. I should pick it back up at some point. It seems like Alan Wake 2 is better in general?

Such a great game. The DLC added some nice extra as well. Ahti is the man, and has great taste in music.

I really hope he makes it into the sequel, and that is looking amazing.

Loaded had some e-skates for a while that I heavily considered. Not sure if they still do. Regardless, they make some great longboards and their Orangatang wheels and bushings are amazing.

I’d say your best bet currently is to go old-school and hit up your local skate shop if possible. They should at least be able to point you in the right direction.

All-Clad pans are some of the best, imo. Otherwise, look at the stuff that’s available for restaurant/commercial use. Often, they’re not the prettiest, but they’ll take a lifetime of use in a home kitchen.

Serious Eats does some great reviews of gear too, they may have something that works for you. They are U.S.-centric though, so if you’re in a civilized country, those options might not be available.
