GOG DRM-free digital games are ownership

Due to licensing agreements expiring with publishers, 500 titles of your digital games will no longer be available. We are also shutting down our digital storefront for this generation’s console next year, after which you will no longer be able to download any other titles onto your puny price inflated ssd. Please consider upgrading to the PS7 to continue paying to play online, where you can pay to purchase your games again. Thank you for your business.

Agreed, in my opinion it is the best VPN provider, with Mozilla (rents infrastructure) and Proton as next best

Here’s a repo to get you started, though you’ll need to either do some workaround in SteamOS to get it to stick since it is immutable (Steam Deck/Machine community has a couple ways of doing it), or use a regular game optimized distro like CachyOS: https://github.com/WayDroid-ATV/waydroid-androidtv-builds
Make Android TV shortcuts for apps that don’t normally work on Android, but have gamepad support: https://atvlauncher.trekgonewild.de/
You could also just do regular Waydroid, but some apps won’t give you the TV optimized version with gamepad/remote support, then you need to use something like this or Mantis: https://github.com/keymapperorg/KeyMapper

It has to be. Can you imagine shipping a HTPC without a decent interface? And the fact that it is just a different mode within Plasma Desktop rather than a distinct shell means seemless switching like the steam client without having to log out then back in

You could always install Waydroid TV and get the apps from Aurora Store or Google Play for full resolution

For example, if you pay, do you only get a snapshot of the current apk, or does it auto update. Does it download any models, or only connect to frontier cloud models, in which case, API access typically requires a subscription. Once connected, not clear what it can do, is it like apple intelligence integration into that android device. What are the limits of what can be done with it, because there are most certainly limits, for example, probably won’t be doing pull requests, image generation, etc.
Also, I think the critique of it not being open source alongside your lack of experience in software, alongside this being vibe coded, alongside you charging a price for this, all together do not instill confidence in the robustness and security of the solution. If you had a software background or if it was open source to inspect, people may trust the robustness security more, and may actuslly even help contribute to your project if the core idea is good.

I read all your websites and documentation, and it’s still not clear what this does. Also, based on the community you’re posting this in as your target audience, you’d probably generate more cash flow by having a donation or using something like patreon for the freshest builds

2 phones today ship today with that, the Purism Librem 5 and the PinePhone Pro.
In addition to an expected eventual 5G re-release of these models, the Liberux Nexx, and I suppose there will be a Brax 4 with it, given that their open slate tablet has them first.

That’s just as absurd as saying Pierre Pollievre is 3 Liberals in a trench coat

Joke’s on them, my phone runs GNU/Linux and has hardware kill switches for the mic/camera and for the cellular baseband which I use while at home, instead using Wi-Fi calling

Would love costume quest, seems up my alley!

They did, this guy is just being edgy and predictable.
Blame all problems on conservatives, even when they’re not in power. Libdippers can do no wrong. /s

I’ve found even harder to find than live sports are live TV premium channels for shows. All my previous places I used to go to are either not working anymore, paid, or only work in browser with a good adblocker. Lmk if you find a suitable solution

People who go into a crowdfunding campaign expecting either a product or a refund with no risk for just one or neither, aren’t the right audience for and shouldn’t be participating in crowdfunding.
The delays and refund denials were not ideal, and perhaps they could have handled that better, but picking between complete insolvency delivering no product to anyone vs delivering the product to people who crowdfunded and pre-ordered, is the lesser of the two “evils” if people want to call it that, especially given the reality of the situation headed into COVID-19.

They had an ambitious project of designing a phone from scratch and ran into complications when covid hit just like other manufacturers, causing further delays. They eventually shipped the phone, and it does as advertised.
You can order today and it will arrive in a few weeks. It’s still the best GNU/Linux phone available today (which says a lot nearly a decade after the design), can easily flash multiple distributions on it.

We need go start talking about the year of the GNU/Linux phone

The year of the GNU/Linux desktop!
My biggest issue with games is that they still don’t just work™, all the time, and they need to be seemless for people like that.
You download a game on a couple devices it doesn’t work on one, or you need to tune the configuration, or even when it does start there are sometimes graphical issues (unrelated to GPU capability, like not all layers rendering), or ghost input (one game I have circles round and round like the R joystick was glued right even with just a mouse and keyboard), or modern games designed to work only with a mouse when the developer could have easily supported keyboard and controller.
