I remember going there frequently as a kid when it was called Camp Snoopy. The biggest rides back then were the Ripsaw roller coaster (now called Orange Streak) that went around most of the park and the Paul Bunyan Log Flume ride.

It does mention that those posts were from 2015. Though that still would have been about a decade after Adobe took over.

I think that one of the biggest struggles we see is infantilization. This whole image screams it. The bright colors. The silly font. Even the message that try’s to paint autism as something special and unique. This doesn’t give off “I’m proud of who I am”. To me it gives off “mom who’s trying to make her child feel better about being excluded.”

When I was visiting Quebec City, I noticed that their traffic lights would all go red for cars and the pedestrian lights would come on for every direction. People would cross the intersection in whatever way was fastest for them (even diagonally) because the cars all had to wait for pedestrians anyway. It was super nice as someone walking.

Yeah it was a ridiculous thing to say. And if I actually needed a secretary to work, that would be an accommodation that would require a diagnosis anyway.

When I was a teen I was told by my psychiatrist “I would diagnose you with Asperger’s, but I’m not going to because you’ll be able to do any job you want as long as you have a secretary.”
