I started by running Jellyfin on my PC with so-so success. Next move was to get a raspberry pi to screw around with. That went kind of poorly (hosted a website that was quickly ransomwared, lessons learned). Ditched the pi and got some used PC parts on FBM to spin up an Unraid server. I’ve been using that for years now, with some upgrades here and there to hardware and storage. There are a couple YT channels with spectacular Unraid content for self hosting. Trash guides for the arr stack. Years later and I now handle multiple servers using either Unraid or Portainer.

I think I agree. I have a few self projects I’ve vibe coded and used a few months that I’ve considered putting out there open source and if folks wanna try cool if not whatever…but that’s probably how all of those dead projects start. I’m even hosting them on my own private Gitea and updating via Obtanium because I don’t want to bother anyone lmao. Wait crap Google is gonna stop me from doing this in a couple months huh

Tried Seafile, Nextcloud, and Filebrowser Quantum. Nextcloud won out, although FBQ with a few files for select individuals does remain.

I want this controller but split down the center so I can walk with them on a treadmill. There are joycons and third party joycons but none that I’ve found with the little track pads. That’d be HUGE.
