How long do you give an average head of lettuce?
I feel like I’ve never heard anything but complaints about the all-in-one image.
On the other hand, I’ve been using the community maintained docker image for a few years with minimal issues.

He knows MS missed the AI train.
Nobody likes copilot.

I’m not going to pretend to know the right answer to the fixing the system, but I’m pretty sure further exploiting the workers trying to pay rent and put food on their own tables while contributing to the profits of the ones doing the exploiting isn’t it.
I’m not sure where you’re getting anything about spitting in your food, typically in a sit down restaurant the bill and tip are reconciled at the end of the meal so there’s no opportunity for that even if they wanted to.
The great depression and ensuring promptness are all out of order and incorrect. The term itself is from the 17th century, and in America, it gained popularity because of racism (because of course it did) after the civil war.

And are you implying that being expected to tip is the same as being raped? That seems like a pretty unhinged take on the situation, even with the “less horrific” disclaimer. But I guess if that’s the direction we’re headed the waitstaff deserve to get shafted and that girl shouldn’t have been wearing a skirt, or walking alone at night, or having a drink, or whatever justification you want to offer, right?

Victim blaming is always the easy solution, isn’t it.
Maybe if they don’t want to work there anymore they could. But until they’re all part of the SEIU or similar the owner/manager has all the power in their relationship.
Yeah, the system is broken, but you fucking over the person at the bottom doesn’t make you some sort of hero. You’re no better than the assholes leaving Chick Tracts instead of cash.

I said in theory and supposed to because if it’s happening regularly then either you’re providing terrible service and about to get fired or the restaurant isn’t bringing in enough customers and isn’t going to make it much longer.
So servers aren’t incentivised to change the system because sometimes they take away more than minimum?
It’s been a long time since I worked in a restaurant but when I did it was a mid-high end place and they were definitely making more than minimum wage.
I’m not going to pretend I know what the answer is, but a few people just not tipping here and there isn’t it.
Seems like the US has the same outcome in terms of meeting minimum wage but with many complications and without the legal protections for the employee.
Ideally, yes. But those complications and missing protections really screw things up.

They’ve wasted time serving you for $2.13/hr when they could have been serving someone who was going to tip then instead of being a prick about it.

Yeah, for jobs that are expected to rely on tips federal minimum is $2.13 with the expectation that tips will bring you higher. In theory if wages + tips don’t cover the spread to $7.25 (general minimum wage) the employer is supposed to cover the difference.

Minimum wage for servers is significantly lower than regular minimum wage. In theory they are supposed to get paid to make up the difference if the tips don’t cover it.

As an American I’ve never heard the term cabin bag before. But I’m sure they’ll find a way to charge me extra for it.

I mean, that’s basically what airlines did when they started charging $20 for checked baggage so they could get the price Expedia shows to be as low as possible.

The situation sucks, but until there’s a mass movement to stop it, not tipping only hurts the people at the bottom.
If you don’t want to enable it the answer is to not eat out, not to screw over the waitstaff who are counting on it to make rent.

Fuck those waiters I guess, right?

The owners are the bad actors but the only person getting screwed when you don’t tip is the server.
Don’t want to tip, don’t eat out. It’s pretty simple.

In this case it’s both.

Thought they were taking a page from the Allbirds playbook?

How are they determining if an an app is a browser?

I doubt this sells enough that anyone bothers with a custom ROM.

Are they going to be guarded like they’re national security assets or would it be easy for the locals to uh… shut them down themselves?
There was an article like a month ago about an AI assistant to play the hard parts for you.
