I’m surprised you could use a wooden spatula from the start… I’ve never liked them, because it feels unsanitary (yes, I know there’s studies that show its naturally antimicrobial etc etc)
Some wooden utensils are smooth but for some reason spatulas always feel furry. Like just the slightest bit of roughness to them like they weren’t sanded all the way. And the way they kind of dry scrape against the food as it slides under gives me chills.

I love my wooden cooking spoons but I understand the brain problems with them!

wood contains about 50% water btw, so it’s not really dry
As long as the surface is smooth I prefer them over plastic.
