That’s what this war ultimately is. America thinks if it has some influence over Petroleum in the short term, that it’ll help beat China in the AI race.
Europe, China, and Russia should get together and negotiate with Iran. Negotiations cannot be left to the US. The war affects the entire world.
The war does affect the entire world but what are those (3) going to do?( this is not ment to be combative) Russia has a ton of sanctions on them as it is and I am not to sure what trade it still as with the u.s. china has been a sticking point for the White House as the enemy so them backing out of what trade they have left won’t do much( I am ignorant about much so I can be very wrong). And one of the biggest thing Europe can do to the u.s. in this situation is stop letting them/us use that air fields to launch strikes or even air tankers. The EU can harm the US in the last way but the other two look like they have less power at the table.
If Europe, China, and Russia reach a peace agreement with Iran, Trump would be pressured to go along especially if other countries such as Saudia Arabia, Pakistan, and India agree with the deal. If not, Europe, China, and Russia would go alone. I’m sure as part of the agreement, these countries would protect Iran from attack.
