I feel like this should have been a slam dunk for me. I like shmups, I like short games, and I have fond memories of the original.
But it’s just not clicking for me so far.
It might end up one of those games that I play for an hour after buying it, leave it for a year, then come back and play it to death. Who knows.
So far I’ve played the first level and not gone back yet. Not the game’s fault; it’s just been a stressful couple of weeks at work and I’ve not been in the mood to get into something new.
Not a particularly useful perspective, but there we are.
