He’s got pretty solid head, but it’s still gutsy putting it by those feet!
I had a Red-bellied Woodpecker early this spring eating at my feeder, which was close to a Carolina Wren nest. The little male wren would launch attack after attack, bombing the woodpecker’s head. He’s just stop and look around like someone was tickling his ear. That poor wren looked so mad he wasn’t being taken seriously, but it was so funny to watch.
Incredible, that guy is looking right at the death mittens and says, “I fear Nothing”.
