Yep. The peripheral keys and seldom used characters were the struggle for me. I had a piece of blue electrical tape on the print screen key for years just because it was one in that block I regularly needed. The new key caps have the labels on the front of the keys so it still look blank from the top, but I can see the labels when I really need them.
I got a Tomato Graph-X5 Mechanical Pencil a few years ago as my workshop pencil. Barring it getting lost, I suspect it will outlive me.
I have also had no printed labels on the keys version of this keyboard for 12 years. Not a single thing has broken or gone wrong with it. Though last year I did buy some new keycaps for it, as I was finally over the “no labels on the keys” aspect after a decade.

Yep. They are also far better for the land they graze on than cattle, as they evolved here, and so they generally eat only what they should and don’t overgraze. The meat is also far leaner and healthier than beef. We really should stop raising cattle and raise bison. The biggest issue is even “domesticated” bison are far more wild and dangerous to raise than the cattle we have bred to be docile. So risk averse ranchers are not interested.

As a kid growing up in Texas, my Methodist church basically just squared the creation myth as metaphor. “What is the length of a day to god?” Essentially equating the scientific explanations, as simply the way god did it. So there wasn’t really any controversy about learning about evolution and the age of the universe.

Quick draws are the little bit of strap with a carabiner on both ends. One end clips into a bolt in the wall/rock, the other end clips around your rope so if you fall, you only fall as far as the last one you attached.
Yeah, I would install a safety strap or something underneath it.
I’ve got a portable work table thing sketchily mounted to my garage wall. Out of paranoia of someone bumping it off when getting something underneath it I have a very old rock climbing quick draw (no longer safe for climbing purposes) attached to it and an eye bolt in the wall.
I was thinking it might just be heat from the wiring or plugged in devices keeping it too dry for the mold.
I had no idea those things in the picture existed.
We had a leak due to a gap between the shower pan and actual drain pipe so it would leak under the wall into the garage. I removed the drain cover and artfully packed the gap full with clear silicone caulk using a tongue depressor as a long thin spatula.
It held up for several years after that until we finally did a full remodel of that bathroom.
Ah, yeah that make sense. Mine is stuck to the side of the top part of the press, and I rarely drill through any steel so its never been an issue for me.
I just use a magnet to keep mine stuck to the side of the press.
I’ve been stung by a bee exactly twice in my life. Both unfortunate accidents where the bee and I collided.
I have long since lost count of how many times I have been stung by wasps just for being near them.
Bees don’t make nests above my door, or under my patio awning. Or generally everywhere outside I need to be. Fuck them wasps.
